INDIAN THALI

Thalis, or traditional Indian meals consisting of a variety of dishes presented on a single platter, are a reflection of India’s many cultures. A few examples are the North Indian Thali, which consists of rice, raita, papad, chutneys, pickles, and vegetable curries in addition to paneer tikka and dal makhani. Rice, sambar, rasam, vegetable curries, dosa, coconut chutney, pickles, and vegetable curries make up a South Indian thali. Gujarati thali is served with roti or puri, khichdi, kadhi, and dhokla. The main dishes of Rajasthani Thali include ker sangri, gatte ki sabzi, and dal bati churma. Puran poli, batata vada, varan bhaat, sabudana khichdi, bhaji, and sol kadhi are among the dishes served in Maharashtrian Thali. Fish curry, rice, dal, alu posto, started bhaja, chutney, and desserts are all included in a berali thali meal.
